Disguntled (TV)
Chad Meisenheimer’s web series, “Disguntled,” is enjoyable to watch for the potential it shows in these characters, and this setting, rather than any of the content it actually contains in its five, brief episodes. The “office sitcom” setting is a familiar one in an age post-“Office Space” and “The Office,” and Meisenheimer has a good feel for it here, as we see a handful of characters working in IT at a company dealing with the stress their co-workers bring to them, whether it’s ridiculously simple problems or obnoxious co-workers and bosses; we also get a feeling for some out-of-work drama, as well. Each episode is, essentially, a vignette or two rather than a fleshed-out story- although there are a couple of threads that go through the the series- and that’s fine. I didn’t find it as funny as you would hope from a comedy series like this, but it was fun to watch, regardless, and it’s another side of Meisenherimer as a filmmaker. We can see how he grew into his next couple of short projects as a writer and filmmaker.
Where can I find this series?
If you click on the poster on the review, it’s the first episode rather than a trailer. It’s available on YouTube.
