Sonic Cinema

Sounds, Visions and Insights by Brian Skutle

In a first for Sonic Cinema, I have decided to share a teaser trailer for a film. My primary focus here is for commentary and film criticism, as well as interviews, but I decided to make an exception for “E-Bowla” because, well, it hasn’t been often that I’ve gotten a look at the filmmaking process before. Back in January, actress-writer-director Cindy Maples was in town doing editing on her new short film, which I wrote about here, so I already have had a glimpse at what goodness she has in store for audiences with the film. I’ll let her take it from here…

“CARRIAGE HOUSE PRODUCTIONS releases the first official teaser trailer for the new horror-comedy, short film ‘E-BOWLA’.

E-BOWLA is an independent short film that shows bowling, women and pizza can be a dangerous combination.
Its ladies night at the local bowling alley and four longtime friends decide that it’s the perfect place to enjoy their one night a year away from their wives. Unfortunately, the ladies and the pizza buffet have other ideas.
Starring: Will Chase (Nashville, Stranger Things 2) Rusty James (Random, Out of my Mind), Leo Kempf (Grown Men on Tricycles), Paul Nicely (Wolf at the Door), Gina Moore and a special appearance by Ingrid Michaelson. E-BOWLA is scheduled to hit the film festival circuit in May and have its world premiere at Echo Lanes in Henderson, KY in April.
