Have you ever wondered whether you had a guardian angel? And if you did have one, what they would be like? Well, Greg (Greg Vorob) is an office worker who is about to find out. He’s getting ready for work one day when his guardian angel (Elmer J. Santos) comes and tells him…not to wear the green tie. Wear the red tie. Why? He simply is told that it may not make sense now, but in the future, all will become clear. Sure enough, his bosses (Timothy J. Cox and Jack Moran Jr.) come to see him, and they like what they see, pointing out the red tie, in particular. On a roll, Greg takes some more advice from his angel when it comes to snacks, leading to a date with a co-worker. Things are looking good, but maybe having an all-seeing angel isn’t quite what you expect that it should be. Writer Dan Conrad and director Dan Kowalski start out on a fantastical note with animated titles and the tone they hit upon continues throughout the film, as the angel’s advice gets more and more insane, leading Greg to lose his mind in the process. This is an example of clever premise and well-developed execution in terms of comedic possibilities, and while it can come off as a bit broad, the end hits just the right note. You can’t really ask for more than that.
