Well, October has come and gone, and with it my annual horror movie marathon. Started back in 2003, originally it was intended more as an excuse to trim down my Netflix Queue of several of the movies in it, but it’s now become a personal ritual that has deepened my appreciation and knowledge of one […]

OK, so it didn’t start out like I had hoped my last day of filming on the first movement of this “Thriller in Two Movements,” but it ended just as I had hoped, in that it is the last day of filming on the first movement of “Unwinnable Hand.” I didn’t do the alternate ending […]

Hello. It’s been a while since I’ve done a proper music update, so I thought that I’d take the time to do one. You got a pretty good idea if you happened to read my “Life of Brian” blog here, but there’s some updating to do beyond that. With October comes my annual horror movie […]

Snooch to the Nooch! Well, another summer has come and gone, and I’ve gotta say, between full-time employment, artistic endeavors both cinematic and musical, and actually ataining a social life (since when did that happen?), I think I did pretty damn well as far as movies go. OK, in summer’s past I caught as many […]

There were a lot of titles that could have gone with this blog, but whatever the title, the subject would be the same. This thing is coming together. Granted, the time frame from the first shot- back in February- to the last shot- look for it in either September or October- is unenviable from a […]

OK, this may not be the best way to shoot a film- days spread out over months- but I think we’ve made considerable progress over the four days of shooting we’ve had on this film since we began back in late February. We have one- maybe two- more days of shooting before “Movement I” of […]

Snooch to the Nooch! Earlier this year (on April’s Fool Day, to be exact), you may recall I posted a list-happy look at my favorites in films, film music, and DVDs (that would be Brian’s Movie 250- still in the archives). At the time, it was between posting that or what you see before you. […]

I’ll keep this entry as short as possible. There’s not much to say really. I just wanted to let you guys know that I have a new composition available at both Sonic Cinema and MySpace for those of you on that site. It’s a piece I wrote in early May, but had the idea for […]

I had another title for his entry, but I’ll save that one for another day. After almost three months since our last filming date (and two cancelled dates in May), we staked this one out for our third day of filming. Well, a funny thing kind of happened. Originally we had hoped to film at […]

Snooch to the Nooch! What has it been this year with me and movies? I mean, it’s not as if there hasn’t been anything I’ve wanted to see- Lord knows there has been. I guess I just haven’t wanted to take the time to go see it. Part of it is my continuingly tight financial […]
