Tim (Timothy J. Cox) has a secret admirer at the office. He works in advertising, and is working on ideas with Cam (Cameron Rankin) when he gets a card from this secret admirer. He is flattered, but over the next couple of days, things get really dark and unsettling. Thankfully, a secretary named Tiffany (Tiffany Browne-Tavarez) is there to comfort him, although you can probably figure out that she’s not quite what she seems.

The last time I watched a film by Mahler and his co-writer father Ross, it was another film starring Cox that takes a dark psychological turn, “What Jack Built.” This film, made two years before that, was done as a 48-hour film project and it’s an impressive accomplishment, under the circumstances, and even if it were simply a regularly-produced short film. It’s written with economy of storytelling and follows a very direct line from plot point to plot point, culminating in a wicked finale set to Mozart.
